Car taken: A car belonging to a Sturge Hollow Road resident was taken without permission and crashed on Alamae Lakes Road, state police said. The incident occurred between 5 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday.
Bar cited: The owner of Good Times on Tap, 907 Main St., Bentleyville, was cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling April 25.

One-car crash: Joseph Solominsky, 42, of Claysville, escaped injury when his vehicle ran off Green Valley Road near Pleasant Valley Road at 12:43 a.m. Monday, hit a tree and caught fire, state police said.
Assault alleged: John Robison, 60, of 938 Pike Run Drive, Coal Center, was arrested Sunday by California police on charges of aggravated and simple assault and harassment after he allegedly punched his wife in the eye Friday. Police were flagged down by a friend of the wife who had seen photographs of the alleged victim and asked officers to check on her. Robison was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Boyfriend arrested: Ryan A. Lipford, 34, of 617 Franklin Ave., Canonsburg, was arrested early Saturday by Canonsburg police on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during a confrontation at their home. The alleged victim reportedly told police he put both hands around her neck for about a minute. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.
Warrant arrest: Shaelyn Saunoras, 24, of Washington, was taken into custody Sunday night by Canonsburg police during a traffic stop at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Morganza Road. She was placed in Washington County jail on a bench warrant for failure to appear.
Restaurant cited: The operator of Big Fella’s Pizza, Deli and Wing Co., 45-47 E. Pike St., Canonsburg, was cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for failing to have the responsible alcohol management certification from April 7 through May 10.
Tablet stolen: Kenneth Wilkerson Jr. of Washington told Canonsburg police Sunday his Samsung Note 4 tablet was stolen while he was on lunch break at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Cavasina Drive.
Assault arrest: James William Cole Sr., 49, of 175 Ohio St., Canonsburg, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly grabbed his fiancee by the hair and punched her in the face after an argument at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.
Theft arrest: Donna T. Farabella, 53, of 75 Cumberland Ave., Washington, was arrested Friday by state police on a felony charge of retail theft after she allegedly stole two packs of beef jerky from Pennsylvania Packinghouse, 1600 Weirich Ave., on June 13. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
Resisting, drug arrest: Brendan Walkom, 19, of Moon Township, was arrested Saturday by Hanover police at KeyBank Pavilion on charges of resisting arrest, possession of oxycodone, carrying false identification, underage drinking and tampering with evidence after he allegedly was spotted drinking beer during a concert. Police said he struggled with officers as they tried to take him into custody. Walkom was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redligner and released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.
Threats, assault arrest: Monty Don Johnson, 40, of 24 Fairmont St., Houston, was arrested Saturday by state police on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly slapped a 41-year-old woman and threatened to kill her during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Warrant obtained: McDonald police obtained a warrant from an Allegheny County district judge for the arrest of James Henry Pressley III, 32, of Washington, on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He is accused of threatening to beat a McDonald woman’s son. Police said the alleged victim told police they got into an argument over welfare assistance.
Drug charges: Terrence Allen Johnson, 28, of 318 Station St., McDonald, will be charged by McDonald police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and public drunkenness stemming from an incident Sunday night at Heritage Park after police received a complaint about a man acting strangely. The charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.
Warrant arrest: Mark Allen Walker Jr., 37, of 223 Coal St., McDonald, was taken into custody Friday on an Allegheny County warrant during a traffic stop on O’Hara Street at Center Avenue. He was placed in Washington County jail on the warrant.
Man shot: Shawn Zombeck, 38, of 338 E. Lincoln St., told McDonald police Thursday he was shot in the stomach with a BB gun about 6:10 a.m. while on his front porch retrieving the newspaper. He told police that a white, four-door Kia with tinted windows was driving past his house, and the shot was fired from the vehicle. Zombeck was taken by ambulance to Canonsburg Hospital because emergency medical personnel believed the BB was still lodged under his skin. Police ask anyone with information on the vehicle to call them at 724-926-2105.
Man wanted: John A. Fafalios, 34, of 46 Mathews Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by city police with burglary, trespassing and theft over allegations he used his roommate’s work keys to enter Subway Restaurant at 301 Donner Ave. and steal $180 from the business about 10:40 p.m. May 30, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Monday for Fafalios’ arrest.
Man jailed: Brennan Robert Breakwell, 25, of 1193 State Road, Monessen, is charged by city police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia over allegations he had two syringes loaded with heroin when an officer was summoned to his residence about 1 p.m. Friday, court records show. He was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Charles Christner.
Indecent assault alleged: John Raymond Dingle, 67, of 207 Belmont St., Meadow Lands, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Jay Weller on two counts of indecent assault and one count of public drunkenness filed by North Strabane police after he allegedly tried to inappropriately touch a shuttle driver early Sunday. The 49-year-old McDonald woman told police he also tried to get her to touch him. He was released on unsecured bond.
One hurt: A passenger was slightly injured when a car driven by Sean Griffin, 58, of Ruther Glen, Va., made a U-turn in the 2900 block of Route 136 at 12:40 p.m. Saturday and was struck by a vehicle driven by James Moran, 36, of Muse, state police said. Regis Griffin, 85, of Bullard, Texas, a passenger in Griffin’s vehicle, was slightly hurt, but police did not indicate if he received medical treatment.
Money stolen: The owner of Scenic Valley Golf Course, 681 Church Hill Road, told police at 3:38 a.m. Sunday that he heard the alarm sound and saw the taillights of a vehicle leaving the property. The door to the pro shop and bar area was found to be unlocked, and $1,000 and some items were missing, according to police.
Burglary: A resident of the 100 block of Marion Drive reported at 11:56 a.m. Saturday that several items, including a television, had been stolen in a burglary. No forced entry was found, and the investigation continues, police said.
Workers threatened: McDonald police said the driver of a gray Volkswagen with a Virginia license plate threatened workers for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Thursday afternoon as they worked on Robinson Church Road. The driver reportedly threatened to shoot the workers, claiming they were damaging a yard.
Woman jailed: Carrie Ina Lantz, 27, of 208 Mathews Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness over allegations she pushed her mother, Kimberly Lantz, causing her to fall backward and injure her head on asphalt about 8:10 p.m. Friday, court records show. Carrie Lantz was placed in Westmoreland County Jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Charles Christner.
Restaurant cited: The operator of Ye Olde Kopper Kettle, 2 Kopper Kettle Road, South Strabane, was cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling April 25.
Cash, camera stolen: Alyssa Adkins of West Hallam Avenue told Washington police Sunday $120, a prepaid Visa card and a digital camera were stolen from her home. She told police that when she came home, a man whom she knew was in her residence and fled out a kitchen door. Police are continuing their investigation, and charges are pending.
Tire punctured: Joni Greenwald of 695 W. Chestnut St. told Washington police Saturday that a tire on her vehicle was punctured while the vehicle was parked near her home.
Son charged: Andrew Popiesh, 27, of 615 Adams Ave., West Brownsville, was arrested Sunday night by state police after he allegedly assaulted his father, pushing him to the floor, during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
