Two inmates at the State Correctional Insitution-Greene were sentenced by Greene County Judge Lou Dayich for throwing suspected bodily fluids at prison employees in November.

On Nov. 20, Cordell D. Stokes, 36, who has been incarcerated at SCI-Greene since October 2015, threw liquid at a prison nurse after she refused to give him medicine because he was acting unruly, according to the criminal complaint.

In a similar but separate incident Nov. 23, Michael Keith Lee, 51, who’s been incarcerated at SCI-Greene since June 2016, threw urine on a corrections officer’s face and arm.

Both Stokes and Lee pleaded no contest to aggravated harassment by prisoner. In each of their cases, an aggravated assault by prisoner charge was dismissed.

Stokes was sentenced to 1 year, 3 months to 2 years, 6 months in prison with credit for time served since Feb. 28. This sentence is to run concurrent to any sentences he is already serving in prison. He was also ordered to pay $20 restitution to the nurse.

Lee was sentenced to 2 years, 3 months to 5 years in prison with credit for time served since Jan. 27. This sentence also will run concurrent to any sentences Lee is already serving at the prison.
