Cecil police report finding marijuana-growing operation

Cecil Township police called to a neighborhood dispute Wednesday said they uncovered a suspected marijuana-growing operation at one of the residences.
Detective Mark Marcucci said the operation was found at a home on Vertical Drive after police were called when the suspect allegedly went to a neighbor’s home and confronted him about remarks supposedly made about him. The other neighbor reportedly commented about the marijuana and told the suspect to leave. He then slammed the door and called police.
When police went to the suspect’s home to question him about the alleged confrontation, they said they discovered several marijuana plants, growing lights and a generator on the property.
Marcucci said the investigation is ongoing. The suspect’s name will not be released until charges are filed at the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.
