Saccone bill passed by Senate

Legislation introduced by Rep. Rick Saccone R-Elizabeth, which would protect the honor and valor of America’s veterans this week, passed the Senate 49-0.
House Bill 168 would prohibit anyone to economically benefit from lying about military service or receiving decorations without merit. Saccone, a U.S. Air Force veteran, insists this bill would help preserve the reputation of legitimate veterans.
“Some people have actually tried to make money by falsely claiming veteran status,” said Saccone. “They will now be brought to account.”
The bill now heads to Gov. Tom Wolf for his signature.
