Warrant issued: A warrant for Shayne K. Miller, 31, of 322 Kaercher St., Pittsburgh, was issued following an alleged domestic violence incident June 16. According to township police, Miller pinned his wife backward over a chair during an argument at 222 West Country Barn Road. He allegedly placed a hand around her throat, restricting her breathing, pushed her to the ground and threatened her. Charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment were filed Thursday in the office of District Judge David Mark.

Assault charge: David A. Headlee Sr., 48, of 18 Prospect Ave., Fredericktown, was placed in Washington County jail Thursday on charges of simple assault and harassment. According to state police, Headlee allegedly struck his son during a dispute in his home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in jail on $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled July 6 before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Items stolen: A resident of the 1000 block of North Main Street reported to township police electric hedge clippers and an extension cord were stolen from his front porch between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Hit-and-run: State police are looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident Friday morning at the north junction of Interstates 70 and 79. Police said Jacob Evans of Brownsville was traveling west on I-70 about 6:20 a.m. when a small black vehicle merging from I-79 struck his car on the right fender and forced it into a guardrail. The driver of the black vehicle stopped on the shoulder a short distance away, then drove away without making any contact with Evans.
