Cecil Township police charged two Washington men last week with home improvement fraud and theft by deception after they allegedly took money from a Cecil Township man for a project at his home but never did any work.

Timothy Warrant Roach, 40, of 670 Henderson Ave., and Dale Seibert Jr., 31, of 1079 S. Hewitt Ave., are accused of taking $10,000 from the alleged victim to put an addition on a house on Castle Street. The two were reportedly doing business as Superior Dimensionz.

Roach, who also went by the name Tim McMasters, reportedly asked the check be made out to Tim Roach. The alleged victim gave him the check in April. Police said the check was cashed the following day, but no work was done. The alleged victim contacted police earlier this month.

When Detective Mark Marcucci talked with Seibert and told him to repay the money, Roach reportedly sent the victim a text message with excuses as to why the work was not started.

The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald. The two are scheduled for a July 27 hearing before McDonald.
