Restaurant cited: The operators of Antique Grill, 101 High St., Brownsville, Fayette County, were cited Monday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling April 25.
Assault alleged: William Curcio, 20, of 218 Rear Oakland Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct over allegations he struck Jamie Jones several times in the face about 9 p.m. June 24 at 321 Oakland Ave., court records show. Curcio will receive the charges in a summons sent Monday from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Citation issued: The operators of Rego’s Restaurant & Hotel, 901 McKean Ave., Charleroi, were cited Monday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling April 25.
Contractor charged: Michael W. Dublin, 43, of 317 Green St., California, was charged last week by Chartiers police with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and home improvement fraud for allegedly taking $1,250 from a Meadow Lands woman as a down payment for work to extend a side roof at her home in September. The money was to buy materials, police said, but the work was not done. Police said Dublin used the money to pay his rent. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Woman charged: Dorris Debnar, 58, of 245 Washington Trails, Washington, was charged last week by Chartiers police with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a hanging plant from her neighbor, Miriam Miller, and throwing it out. She reportedly refused an officer’s request to return the plant, according to court documents. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Editors note: Charges of theft and receiving stolen property filed by Chartiers Township police in June against Dorris Debnar, 245 Washington Trails Road, Washington, were withdrawn November 2017 by Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone for lack of prosecutorial merit.
Man charged: Lawrence Martin, 54, of 446 McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with making terroristic threats over allegations he chased Edward Locker through the streets of the borough with a cordless drill covered with a towel, pretending it was a gun, over a debt about 10:30 a.m. June 13, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charge in a summons Monday.
Drug arrest: David Daryle Jeffries, 26, of 432 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by borough police with possession of 140 stamp bags of heroin with intent to deliver and drug possession stemming from a traffic stop about 11:20 p.m. June 23 in the 900 block of Thompson Avenue, court records show. Jeffries was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Man jailed: Raymond Wayne Gilpin, 52, of 201 Lookout Ave., Charleroi, is charged by borough police with possessing a small amount of cocaine, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license stemming from a traffic stop about 10:20 p.m. June 22 in Highland Terrace, court records show. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Warrant arrest: Brandon D. Davis, 34, of 354 E. Pike St., Houston, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant obtained by state police charging him with possession of paraphernalia Aug. 16, 2015. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
One injured: Debra Newell of Pittsburgh was injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Route 519 at the ramp to Route 19 northbound. North Strabane police said she was injured when her vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Taneka D. West, 27, of 360 Cherry Ave., Houston. West reportedly told police her foot slipped off the brake. Newell was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment of a neck injury.
Machine damaged: South Strabane police said the touch screen on a Red Box machine outside Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, was damaged by vandals. The damage was reported Monday.
Man jailed: Brandon D. Davis, 30, of 849 Henderson Ave., Canton Township, was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant and arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Larry Hopkins. Davis is charged with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he returned $164 worth of stolen merchandise in exchange for a gift card at Walmart, 30 Trinity Point Drive, about 3:40 a.m. Sept. 10, court records show.
Assault charge: Martin Klick, 60, of 155 S. Main St., was jailed for allegedly grabbing his girlfriend, Rhonda Challiner, by the throat and threatening her with a gun Tuesday in their home. Klick was charged with simple assault and making terroristic threats. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 10 before Redlinger.
