Police Beat June 29

Assault alleged: Phillip Michael Foeks, 27, of 134 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg, is charged by state police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment over allegations he choked William Ellis Myers, grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him to the ground about 8:50 p.m. Monday in a parking lot in Jessop Place, court records show. Foeks is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Escapes injury: Michael Mattarock, 58, of 95 Barnickle St., Meadow Lands, escaped injury Monday night when his vehicle struck a deer and then a hillside on West Pike Street at Arnold Hollow Road, Chartiers police said.
Restaurant cited: The operators of Timberwood Grille and Pub, 670 W. Pike St., were cited Monday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling April 26.
Assault alleged: Ronald James Griffey, 37, of 643 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with strangulation, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, court records show. Police accuse Griffey of choking his girlfriend, Autumn Davis, on the road in the 900 block of Schoonmaker Avenue about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. He was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $5,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Roger F. Eckels.
Driver charged: Jennifer Lynn Lengyel, 47, of 713 Bank St., Bridgeville, was charged last week by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, driving without a license and failure to use a turn signal stemming from a May 13 traffic stop at Racetrack Road and Meadowlands Boulevard. Police said she had a blood-alcohol content more than 1 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed and had marijuana and cocaine in her system. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Warrant signed: Sara Marie Houseman, 32, of 5460 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, is charged by state police with burglary, theft and trespassing over allegations she broke into a house in the 70 block of Valley Road about 8:15 p.m. June 26, 2016, and stole about $200, court records show. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Tuesday for her arrest.
Rock thrown at car: An unidentified motorist, 63, told police someone threw a rock from the side of Interstate 70, cracking the windshield of the vehicle as it was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 near mile marker 35. The alleged incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Theft charges: Terence Todd Gee, 48, of 59 McConnells Mills Road, Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing items from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, on two occasions and making a fraudulent return. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Two charged: Jessica Pringle, 30, of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Joni Irene Yilit, 52, of 491 Ridge Road, Avella, were charged by South Strabane police with possession of an amphetamine and marijuana after a vehicle crash Friday on Old Mill Boulevard. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Conspiracy, theft charges: Joseph M. Seiler Jr., 38, of Munhall, was charged this week by South Strabane police with conspiracy and retail theft for his alleged role in the attempted theft of items valued at $2,154 from Home Depot, Murtland Avenue. Police said he fled from the store while his alleged accomplice, Danielle Martin, was taken into custody and arraigned on the charges. He was charged by a summons sent from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Threats, harassment charges: Levi G. Phillips, 18, of 149 Springfield Ave., Washington, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with terroristic threats and harassment after he allegedly threatened to slit his stepfather’s throat during an incident at Super Cuts, Trinity Point. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Kevin P. Watson, 30, of Byesville, Ohio, was charged this week by South Strabane police with retail theft after he allegedly stole items from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, June 19. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Checks stolen: Martin Klick of 155 S. Main St. told Washington police three checks were stolen from his checkbook. He said he had to pay his bank $120 to stop payment on the checks. Charges are pending.
Road rage charges: Shawneice Lashae Hogan, 27, of Pittsburgh, was charged by Washington police with harassment by following in public places, disorderly conduct, failure to stop at a stop sign and two counts each of careless and reckless driving stemming from an alleged road-rage incident Tuesday. She is accused of chasing another driver in her vehicle from the city’s West End to the police station. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Terroristic threats charge: Jonay Jordan of Pittsburgh was charged Tuesday by summons with terroristic threats in an alleged incident June 20 at the Pinto baseball fields in Washington Park. She is accused of engaging in a loud disturbance with another individual, then allegedly threatened to slit the throats of three witnesses. Charges were filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Assault charge: Damon C. Bey, 29, of Linn Avenue, Washington, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on simple assault charges in an alleged incident May 22. Police said Bey was laying his 15-month-old son down in his crib when the mother, Jeanne L. Garrison, of Fayette Street, Washington, came to pick up the boy. Bey is accused of punching the woman once, breaking her nose. Charges were filed Wednesday at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Drug charges: Two Washington women are in the county jail on drug charges related to an alleged incident May 25. Stephanie Nicole Victor, 25, of 1880 W. Chestnut St., and Kimberly Kover, 28, of 1176 Bruce St., were charged Tuesday with use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Washington police said they responded to a call about a truck parked in the 1000 block of Arch Street and found the two women inside. Charges were filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
