Annual scholarship ride this weekend
The American Legion Riders of Hunt-Kennedy American Legion Post 639 of Claysville will hold the Fifth Annual Sgt. Nathan Kennedy Scholarship Ride Saturday.
The donation is $20 for a single and $30 for a double. The cost is reduced by $5 for those who preregister.
Registration is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, and the ride departs at 11:30. All types of vehicles are welcome.
Upon completion of the ride, there will be food and a Chinese auction, and the band The Roosters will perform at 8 p.m.

All proceeds go to the Nathan Kennedy Scholarship Fund, which helps students with tuition. Kennedy, a decorated Army Ranger, was killed in action in Afghanistan on April 27, 2010.
