Theft: A West Run Road resident told state police that someone stole jewelry from her Center Township residence between Dec. 25 and March 28.

Burglary: Someone broke into a barn belonging to the Greene County Historical Society, 918 Rolling Meadows Road, and stole a chain saw and two trimmers sometime between April 24 and 25, state police said.

Drug possession: John Solomon Banish Jr., of West Milford, W.Va., was charged by state police Thursday with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct following a traffic stop April 28, 2015, on Route 21 near the Interstate 79 exit in Franklin Township. Police said Banish had been driving erratically on the I-79 and when he was pulled over, police found synthetic cannabis drugs in his vehicle along with a foil smoking pipe.

Drug possession: Cody James Sampson, 18, of 514 Mountainview Drive, Waynesburg, was charged by Waynesburg police with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon on school property after he allegedly brought a knife to school and sold marijuana to a classmate at Waynesburg Central High School April 19. Police said Sampson sold a small bag of marijuana to another student and also possessed two more bags of it in his wallet. The principal was notified of the incident, as well as Sampson’s mother.

Crash: One man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Interstate 79 in Washington Township Saturday morning. State police said John D. Govan, 51, of Valencia, was driving south on his motorcycle at 11:30 a.m., when he left the east side of the highway and drove in the shoulder for about 265 feet. Govan then allegedly lost control of his vehicle, which fell on its left side. Police said the bike and Govan spun while traveling another 28 feet before striking a guard rail. Govan, who was wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., with serious injuries. He was listed in fair condition by the hospital Monday morning.

Receiving stolen property: A Waynesburg couple was charged by state police with receiving stolen property following a traffic stop early Monday morning on East Greene Street in Waynesburg. Teresa Lee Barth, 38, and Matthew Gabriel Barth, 34, both of 304 Jennings Ave., were each charged with receiving stolen property after police discovered the 2003 Toyota Carolla they were driving was stolen from Lower Paxton Township in Dauphin County.

Harassment: Joseph Miller, 19, of Little Shannon Road, Perry Township, was charged by state police with harassment after he allegedly shoved a woman Saturday morning on Vandruff Road.
