Five jailed after North Franklin drug raid
State police accused five people of dealing heroin and cocaine Tuesday after serving a search warrant at a North Franklin Township residence.
With assistance from the Washington County Drug Task Force and North Franklin police, troopers went to 113 Hamilton St., where they found five people: Jacquet Leland Smith, 38; Anthony Harris, 57; Richard Harris, 48; Jennifer Renae McFall, 34; and John Robert McFall, 40. Richard Harris and Jennifer McFall live in another house on Hamilton. Addresses were not available for the others.
When officers entered, Smith tried to run out the rear door, according to the criminal affidavit. Trooper Timothy Gilbert repeatedly ordered Smith to the ground and allegedly saw him throw two large bags of crack into a closet.
Gilbert forced Smith to the ground, handcuffed him and found a 9mm handgun in the pocket of his jeans. Police said he also had heroin in another pocket. Police reported finding a large amount of paraphernalia, including bags, scales and a cutting agent, in the home.
Smith, Jennifer McFall and the Harrises are charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy, court records show. Smith also was charged with convicted felon not to carry a firearm, carrying an unlicensed firearm and resisting arrest.
John McFall was placed in Washington County jail on a warrant. The other suspects were arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger. Smith was placed in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond, while Jennifer McFall and the Harrises were jailed on $50,000 bonds.
The search warrant, signed by Judge Gary Gilman, was sealed for 60 days.
