Police Beat May 5

Video posted: State police are investigating an Amwell Township woman’s report that an explicit video of her was posted April 1 on a man’s Facebook account after she ended a relationship with him.
Check stolen, cashed: Johnnie Jay Jones Sr., 56, of East Finley Township, told state police that a check was stolen from him, his signature was forged and the check was cashed between April 5 and 24. The amount was not provided. Police have a suspect.
Man jailed: Jacob Deralle Majors, 25, of 409 Knox Ave., is charged by city police with cruelty to animals, simple assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, court records show. He is accused of punching a dog owned by his sister, Ernestine Ellis, several times and pushing and shoving her about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at 928 Locust Ave. Majors was placed in Westmoreland County Jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Warrant issued: Adrienne Lynn Wilson, 26, of 162 N. Water St., West Newton, is charged by city police with trespassing, loitering and disorderly conduct over allegations she entered a vacant house at 408 Chestnut St. about 11:40 p.m. April 28, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday for her arrest.
Theft alleged: Deborah L. Vernet, 56, of 422 Page St., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft over accusations she stole tools worth $791 from Mark Johnston from his basement at 416 Second St. about 3 p.m. April 24, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the case in a summons Wednesday.
