PHILADELPHIA (AP) – The owner of a Philadelphia beer store has been charged after police say he shot and wounded a teenager who allegedly trashed his store.

Hanglong Ing was arrested Tuesday and posted bail Wednesday. The 26-year-old is charged with aggravated assault and related gun charges.

Police say the 16-year-old and another teen walked into the store in the city’s Summerdale section just before midnight Monday. They say the teens became angry when Ing asked for identification. Ing told police the teens started throwing items around in the store and then went outside and started throwing trash.

Police say Ing fired one shot, hitting the 16-year-old in both hands.

Court records did not list an attorney who could comment on Ing’s behalf.
