Rostraver police to release new evidence in two-year-old homicide

BELLE VERNON – Rostraver Township police will announced new evidence Thursday in a two-year-old homicide at an auto parts store near Tri-County Plaza.
Police Chief Greg Resetar said investigators also will reach out to the media for help in solving the execution-style murder of Drew J. Molinari while he worked the counter at Minniti Motorsports at 123 Tri County Lane.
“We are going to refresh a few things,” Resetar said.
Molinari, 34, was shot several times by a man wearing a blue hooded jacket who walked into the business about 8:15 a.m. May 11, 2015. There were no witnesses to say whether a getaway car was used or if the gunman ran from the store after the murder.
The victim’s mother, Dawn Brady of Fayette City, also is expected to appear on the second anniversary of her son’s death when police hold the 10 a.m. news conference in the Rostraver Township Municipal Building at 201 Municipal Drive, the chief said.
She also is planning to hold a vigil at 7 p.m. Thursday outside of the store where her son was killed.
Resetar said police are not involved in the vigil.
“We were doing this regardless,” he said.
