Warrant sweep nabs 40

The Washington County sheriff’s office, assisted by several agencies, conducted a warrant sweep Friday in the eastern part of Washington County, northwest Fayette County and western Westmoreland County. Forty people were arrested on outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court, failure to pay fines and costs and probation violations.
