PennDOT to replace bridge over Tenmile Creek in Clarksville

The state Department of Transportation will display plans for the public review regarding the replacement of a bridge between Clarksville and Jefferson Township.
The bridge on Castile Run Road spans South Fork Tenmile Creek and will be replaced as part of PennDOT’s rapid bridge replacement program.
The plans, which will be displayed at the Clarksville Post Office at 541 Center St. from June 5 to 19 during normal business hours, will provide important information including the construction schedule and traffic changes that are planned to take effect while the bridge is being replaced.
During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 188, Route 88 and Main Street.
Construction will also mean a temporary occupation and permanent use of a publicly owned recreation area that is designated as a Jefferson Township park and boat launch property.
A letter announcing the start of construction will be mailed out two weeks in advance to all project stakeholders. People will be given the chance to sign up as a project stakeholder at the plans display location.
