CANONSBURG

Marijuana charges: Matthew Derosa, 20, of 333 N. Johnson Road, Houston, and Jason Flood, 18, of 105 Hickory Circle, Canonsburg, both face marijuana-related charges after Canonsburg police responded early Thursday to check a suspicious vehicle on Washington Street. Derosa is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of paraphernalia after police said they found suspected marijuana, 49 sandwich bags and a scale in his backpack. He was arraigned on the charges before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail on $15,000 bond. Flood was charged with possession of marijuana. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark. Last week, borough police charged the two with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from an Oct. 4 incident.

CARROLL

Men jailed: Franky Wayne Dye, 28, of Coeburn, Va., and Stanley Lee Toland, 32, of Fairmont, W.Va., are charged by township police with theft and conspiracy, court records show. They are accused of stealing two industrial drill bits worth $30,000 while working Thursday at an EQT Marcellus shale natural gas well at 74 Shannon Road. The suspects were placed in Washington County Jail on $15,000 bonds set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

ROSTRAVER

Threat at school alleged: Arthur Douglas Wilson, 19, of 828 Louise St., Washington Township, Fayette County, is charged by Rostraver police with making terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct, court records show. Wilson is accused of threatening to kill Belle Vernon Area High School principal John E. Grice IV, throwing chairs and garbage cans in the cafeteria and picking up a hammer before being restrained in front of students about 10:15 a.m. Oct. 25. District Judge Charles Christner issued the case by summons Wednesday.

Drug charges: Jesse Lee Ward III, 27, of 14 Columbus St., Belle Vernon, is charged by state police with possession of two stamp bags of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia after someone found him slumped over in his car about 1 a.m. Sept. 7 in a parking lot at Route 51 and Fellsburg Road, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges by summons Thursday.

Theft alleged: Cori Maria Stark, 26, of 1190 Rostraver Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with theft over allegations she sold five gift cards to Nobleen Thomas for $150 knowing that they had no value about 2:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at a convenience store in the 4200 block of Route 51, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charge by summons Wednesday.

WASHINGTON

Riding toy stolen: Michelle Barfield, 219 Ridge Ave., told Washington police Wednesday that her son’s black Jeep Power Wheels vehicle was stolen from the front porch of her home. A neighbor reported seeing a man and woman load it into the back of a gray Toyota pickup truck.

Account accessed: Dante D’Alesandro of Pittsburgh told Washington police that his credit card information was used to make a $302 purchase in Brownsville. He said a pizza shop employee had written down the information from the card when D’Alesandro made a purchase on the Washington & Jefferson College campus.
