AMWELL
State police car hit: No one was injured Friday morning when a state police cruiser was hit while pulling into a driveway off East National Pike (Route 40) near Dynamite Road, Amwell. Police said Troopers Gregory T. McGee and Marc D. Packrall were in the cruiser when it was struck on the driver’s side door by a vehicle driven by Joseph R. Derrow, 58, of Eighty Four.
Jewelry stolen: State police said jewelry was reported stolen Oct. 24 from a house at 309 Chestnut Ridge Road, Amwell. The thief reportedly entered the house through the front door.
BURGETTSTOWN
Three charged: Shana Rae Kriest, 31, of Beaver; John Joseph Leszun, 65, of Weirton, W.Va.; and Deno Louis Ely, 38, of 1443 Main St., Burgettstown, were charged Wednesday by McDonald police in connection with an Oct. 9 altercation in Burgettstown. Leszun, Kriest and Leszun are charged with reckless endangerment, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Kriest also is charged with harassment and public drunkenness. Leszun also faces traffic violations. Ely is charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
CHARTIERS
Fraud, theft arrest: Anthony R. Christmas, 38, of 103 W. Walnut St., Washington, was arraigned Friday before District Judge David Mark on nine counts of access device fraud, six counts of receiving stolen property and one count of theft. He is accused of stealing a purse from the vehicle of a Chartiers woman while it was parked outside her Walnut Street home Oct. 17. He allegedly used her credit card to make almost $1,000 in purchases at several businesses in South Strabane Township and Washington. Mark set bond on Christmas, who was in Washington County jail on a probation detainer, at $10,000.
NORTH STRABANE
Assault arrest: Mark Anton, 60, of 110 Fireside Drive, McMurray, was arrested early Friday by North Strabane police on charges of simple assault, harassment and illegally operating a vehicle without an ignition lock. He is accused of punching a 41-year-old North Strabane woman in the face. She told police they had been in a relationship since February. Anton allegedly left the scene in his vehicle and was stopped by police on Zeman Drive. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond.
PETERS
Man wanted: Ethan Wilson, 23, of 225 Gerrie Drive, Pittsburgh, is wanted by township police on charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and stalking, court records show. Police accuse Wilson of grabbing Melissa Walters by the neck and throat and then following her at a strip mall at 4041 Washington Road about 10:20 a.m. Thursday. District Judge Larry Hopkins signed a warrant for Wilson’s arrest.
ROSTRAVER
Attempted homicide charges: Paul Scott Reed, 56, of 2113 Route 906, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, strangulation, simple assault and reckless endangerment, court records show. Police accuse him of firing two gunshots at a 33-year-old man, missing him, after assaulting him about 4:10 p.m. Thursday at Reed’s residence. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso sent Reed to Westmoreland County jail Friday on $100,000 bond.
SOUTH STRABANE
Documents stolen: Kristine Wolf of 88 Crestvue Drive told South Strabane police Thursday that tax documents were stolen from her home.
WASHINGTON
Assault charge: Randolph Wingfield, 59, of 261 Locust Ave., Washington, was charged this week by Washington police with indecent assault after he allegedly assaulted a woman inside his home last December. The alleged victim told police she awoke to find she had been undressed and inappropriately touched. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Cellphone stolen: James Duncan of Washington told Washington police Thursday his son’s iPhone 7 was stolen from the locker room at Washington High School Stadium, Tyler Avenue.
Money stolen: The regional manager of Little Caesar, 295 Jefferson Ave., told Washington police Thursday a former employee is suspected of stealing about $180 from the register. She is accused of ringing up orders and then pocketing the cash. Charges are pending.
