Theft charge: Merrie Ann Loar, 20 of 437 1/2 Race St., Waynesburg, was charged Friday with theft by unlawful taking after state police said surveillance footage showed Loar taking $540 from the register at Little Caeser’s Pizza at 1550 E. High St. in Franklin Township on five separate occasions between Sept. 14 and Oct. 15.

Child endangerment charges: Daniel W. Hall, 25, and Haley Hall, 22, both face three charges of child endangerment filed Friday. Daniel also faces a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and a summary public drunkenness charge. Waynesburg police were called to their apartment at 174 W. Elm St. Apt. 32B at 7:40 a.m. Friday for a man on the ground not responsive. Police said they found Daniel attempting to stand with two empty Suboxone packets, four unidentified pills and needles in his pockets. He requested police check on his wife and children inside. The home was in “deplorable” conditions, police said.
