Liberty Tunnel work planned

The inbound Liberty Tunnel in Pittsburgh will be closed nightly through Friday night, weather permitting.

The inbound Liberty Tunnel will close to traffic from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday night and from 8 p.m. Friday night through noon on Saturday as crews conduct electrical conduit work, fire suppression pipe installation, and concrete repairs in the tunnel.

The outbound tunnel will not be impacted. McArdle Roadway will remain open in both directions. All inbound traffic will be detoured at the south portal of the tunnel.
