State police file drug charges against several people
A Washington woman arraigned Wednesday on drug charges was among about a dozen people charged last week by the state police vice unit.
Amberly Lynn Pettit, 37, whose last known address was Fayette Street, Washington, is charged in two cases with possession and possession with intent to deliver crack.
She is accused of selling the drug to a confidential informant in a parking lot on West Chestnut Street, North Franklin Township, Nov. 29. Pettit is also accused of selling the drug to an informant Feb. 15 in a parking lot on Jefferson Avenue in Washington. Pettit, who has been in Washington County jail since Oct. 30 following her arrest on other drug charges, was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger, who set bond at $20,000.
Police also charged several others by summons from Redlinger’s office with possession and possession with intent to deliver crack or heroin to informants on various dates since 2015 in the Washington area.
Charged with selling crack are Angelo Bennett, 60, of 185 1/2 Addison St., Washington; Brittany Ann Cottrell, 30, whose last known address was Interstate Drive, Claysville; John McFall, 40, of 113 Hamilton St., North Franklin Township; Alfred LaMar Moss Jr., 33, of 279 Weirich Ave., Canton Township; Michelle Marteen Ellis, 46, of 192 Ohio St., Washington; Kimberly Strawn, 46, of 819 Ewing St., Washington; and Charles Bronson Jenkins, 40, of 1206 Summerlea Ave., Washington.
Charged with selling heroin are Brandi Lynn Byers, 36, of 905 Fayette St., Washington; Edwin Rivera, 26, of North Franklin Street, Washington; Sean Michael Hobberchalk, 42, of 120 Karen Drive, Washington, who is charged in two cases; and Raquel Rae Bryner, 26, of 256 Lacock St., Canton Township.
