Two arrested on drug charges in Bentleyville, third person faces charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges and a third person faces charges after warrants were served Tuesday at a Bentleyville home.
The Washington County Drug Task Force, along with Bentleyville police and Washington County sheriff’s deputies, served the warrants at 451 Pittsburgh Road, taking into custody Donald K. Riggle, 51, who lives at the residence, along with Casie Brink, 35, of Ellsworth, who had reportedly been staying at the home.
Suspected crack, heroin, Suboxone and money were found inside the house, along with a loaded gun that was hidden where Riggle had been sitting when he was arrested, police said.
Investigators said both are suspected dealers of crack and heroin in the Bentleyville area.
Riggle was wanted on two sets of charges. He is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver, possession of paraphernalia and criminal use of a communications device for allegedly selling heroin. Police say drugs were found at his home when they served a search warrant there Oct. 6. He also is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin for allegedly dealing the suspected drug to a confidential informant last month.
Brink is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin after she allegedly sold the drug to a confidential informant earlier this month.

Also taken into custody at Riggle’s home Tuesday was Stephanie Thompson, 37, of Scenery Hill, who was wanted on a bench warrant. Thompson allegedly was in possession of a large amount of suspected heroin and will be charged later, police said.
Riggle and Brink were arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson. Riggle was placed in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. Brink was jailed on $35,000 bond. Both are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday before Thompson.
