BURGETTSTOWN
Driver charged: Devin Jordan Degenkolb, 23, of 1307 Langeloth Road, Burgettstown, was charged Tuesday by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash, and careless driving after he portedly crash his car into a house at 405 W. Pittsburgh St., Burgettstown, in the early morning hours of Nov. 4. Police said his blood alcohol level was more than double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Two women charged: Anna Mae Kinder, 62, of 38 Manor Drive, Bulger, and Lisa Carpenter, 48, of 4 Apple Way, Joffre, were each charged by McDonald police with theft and receiving stolen property in the alleged theft of money Aug. 14 from Kwik Fill, 1604 Main St., Burgettstown. Carpenter, who had ben working at the store, was reportedly seen on surveillance stealing $102.44 from the register and splitting it with Kinder, who appears to be posing as a customer. It is not known how much money Kinder received, police said. Carpenter was also shot on her cash register on several dates for varying amounts. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
WASHINGTON
Drug charges: Shannon N. Bennett, 40, of 160 BelAir Drive, Canton Township, was charged Wednesday by state police with inmate not to possess a controlled substance or contraband and possession of a controlled substance. She reportedly was found with a suspected drug while being searched during processing at Washington County Jail on Oct. 28. She was taken there to await arraignment on assault charges stemming from an incident in Canton. Bennett is free on her own recognizance on the assault charges. The drug charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
