Man allegedly fires gun in Chartiers Township bar bathroom
A Washington man is facing a felony charge after allegedly firing a gun in the bathroom of a Chartiers Township bar early Sunday.
Desmond Louis Lightfoot, 24, of 240 Duncan Ave., was charged by Chartiers Township police with carrying an unlicensed firearm and reckless endangerment after he allegedly fired a gun in the men’s bathroom of Black and Gold Bar, West Pike Street, Houston.
Police said the woman who reported the gunshot, Cassandra Wagner, had been washing her hands in the women’s restroom when a bullet came through the wall from the men’s restroom and went through the mirror, just missing her, according to court documents.
Police watched surveillance footage from the tavern and saw that Lightfoot had been in the men’s bathroom at the same time Wagner was in the women’s bathroom.
After the gunshot, police said the video showed Lightfoot exiting the bathroom “at an accelerated pace.”
Police did not say whether the gunshot fired deliberately or accidentally.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Lightfoot.
