State police responded to a Canton Township mobile home park Sunday for reports of a man threatening neighbors with a knife.

Police said Anthony Edward Gallo, 34, of 17 Mark Ave., was acting erratically and wielding a knife shortly after 4 p.m. Police said he led them to 20 Mark Ave., where he refused repeated commands to drop the knife. Troopers exercised the use of deadly force to stop Gallo’s actions.

Washington County Coroner Tim Warco responded to the mobile home park, which is located off Jefferson Avenue, next to Canton Township Park.

The incident is under investigation in coordination with the Washington County District Attorney’s Office.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or were a victim of threats made by Gallo is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
