CARMICHAELS – A Carmichaels man was arrested Saturday night after state police said he fired his gun multiple times in his borough home following an argument with his girlfriend.

Police said John Clark Huey Jr. 57, of 307 E. Greene St., and Virginia Wollerman got into an argument at his home about 3:30 p.m. when he allegedly threatened to shoot her if she didn’t “shut her mouth.”

Huey then picked up the gun located next to him in the room and fired three shots through a door, police said. Wollerman left the house, but returned a couple hours later.

Upon returning, the couple once again began arguing, prompting Huey to fire another gunshot through the same door about 10:30 p.m., police said. Wollerman was not in the same room at the time.

No one was injured, but police said other houses in the neighborhood could have been hit by the gunfire.

Huey was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm in a structure, terroristic threats, simple assault and reckless endangerment. He was arraigned Sunday morning by District Judge Lee Watson and is being held at the Greene County jail on $50,000 bond. His preliminary hearing before Watson his scheduled for Oct. 17 at 2:45 p.m.
