The Bridgeville police chief took a personal approach to finding a former Muse woman wanted in the drug overdose death of a 32-year-old Bridgeville man last December when his Facebook message to her Wednesday went viral.

Latoya Marie “Toy” Rosiek, 32, has been charged by Allegheny County police, as part of a joint investigation with Bridgeville police, with drug delivery resulting in death, criminal use of a communication facility and prohibited acts for her alleged role in the delivery of fentanyl that contributed to the Dec. 26 death. Judge Jeffrey A. Manning issued the warrant Oct. 19.

Bridgeville police, in a post on Facebook, said Rosiek has chosen not to cooperate in the investigation. Police said she has been known to frequent the Cecil Township, Canonsburg and Washington areas, in addition to Bridgeville.

In the post, police Chief Chad King added a personal message to Rosiek, telling her he has known her since she was a teenager living in Bridgeville.

“Let’s end the foolishness, do the right thing and turn yourself in,” King said in the post Wednesday. “You will be treated fairly.”

King also told her the post likely will reach more than 100,000 people within the next 24 hours or less. The post quickly went viral on Facebook.

“This department has a success rate of 100 percent when utilizing social media to locate and apprehend wanted felons,” the chief said. “The odds are not in your favor. In fact, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be reading this post within the next few hours. Your chest will begin to tighten, your heart will begin to pound, you may start trembling and break into a sweat as you are overcome with feelings of nausea.

“You will soon realize that people you once trusted are now diming you out,” King added. “It’s not worth the stress on you, your family, or your children to continue running and looking over your shoulder. I will tell you the same as I have told others … We will find you.”

King said he is confident Rosiek will be found within the next few days.

“We’ve had very good luck using social media,” King said Wednesday. “I am sure someone will let us know where she is or she will turn herself in.”

King said police recently learned Rosiek has been evicted from her residence in Muse.

Cecil Township police Detective James Brose said officers were called in early September to Rosiek’s former Oak Street home after neighbors called about an abandoned dog. He said animal control was notified and the dog was removed from the residence. Neighbors told police Rosiek had last been seen there about a week earlier.

“Right now, we don’t know where she is,” King added.

Brose said information about Rosiek also is on their department’s Facebook page. He said police continue to check the area for Rosiek.

Rosiek is a biracial female, 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Anyone with information on Rosiek’s whereabouts can call Bridgeville’s dispatch, nonemergency number at 412-279-6911, or the department at 412-221-6052. Comments also can be made on the department’s Facebook post about her, or a private message can be sent through the department’s Facebook page.
