CUMBERLAND

Theft charges: Chip Lavon Riley, 29, of 104 Cedarwood Drive, Carmichaels, was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and criminal mischief after Cumberland Township police said he keyed a woman’s car and took items out of her purse Monday night at 12 Riverview Ave. in Crucible.

GREENSBORO

Theft from vehicle: State police said a black 9mm handgun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 592 Second St. in Greensboro between 10 p.m. Oct. 6 and 10 a.m. Oct. 7.

MONONGAHELA

Criminal mischief: A window was broken on a John Deere excavator at a construction site at 192 Martin Ferry Road in Monongahela Township between Oct. 7 and 9, state police said.
