Public welcome to attend county overdose coalition

Washington County Opioid Overdose Coalition, established in response to the growing problem of opioid overdoses in the community, will host its quarterly meeting and a drug take-back event from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in Room 104 of Courthouse Square.

All are welcome to attend and bring unwanted medications for safe disposal. The meeting will provide insight into the opioid crisis as well as initiatives and successes of the opioid overdose coalition. Light snacks will be provided.

Speakers include Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone, Single County Authority Cheryl Andrews, U.S. Attorney Soo Song and Sen. Camera Bartolotta.
