Police Beat Sept. 10
Strangulation: Alex Michael Diesel, 19, of Washington, was charged by state police with strangulation, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman during an altercation Friday afternoon at 711 Rural Valley Road. Police said Diesel strangled the woman and shoved her to the ground, causing injury. Diesel was arraigned at 11 p.m. Friday by District Judge James Ellis. He’s being held at Washington County jail on $1,000 bail, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 25, before Ellis.
