Charleroi woman indicted on embezzlement charge
A Charleroi woman has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on a charge of embezzlement and theft of labor union assets.
The one-count indictment, returned Tuesday, named Marianne Rodacy, 64, of Lincoln Avenue, as the sole defendant.
Rodacy was the financial/recording secretary of United Steelworkers, AFL-CIO, Local 10-53-G. According to the indictment, from Oct. 1, 2012, to June 24, 2015, Rodacy embezzled approximately $21,539 of union funds for her personal use.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of not more than five years in prison, a fine of not more than $250,000, or both.
