Cross Creek bridge to close
Construction on the Strope Road bridge, spanning North Fork Cross Creek in Cross Creek Township, is scheduled to begin Oct. 9 as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
Replacement of this bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from Washington County’s structurally deficient bridge list.
Construction is expected to be complete in mid-November. During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Meneely Road, Cedar Grove Road and Cross Creek Road.
In the event of unfavorable weather or unforeseen activities, this schedule may change.
