Disorderly conduct charges: Two Waynesburg University students from Pittsburgh were charged by Waynesburg police with harassment and two counts of disorderly conduct following a fight among seven women on Morris Street near Domino’s Pizza Sept. 20. Police said Lasada Denae Pedro, 19, and Chelsea Patterson, 18, were part of the 2 a.m. fight. Police said the confrontation started the previous day when Taylor Szczerpaniuk, 18, of Pittsburgh, allegedly threatened Jordan Baumann, another college student. Baumann wanted to get her laptop back from Szczerpaniuk’s dorm room, so they agreed to meet at Morris Street, with Baumann bringing two friends and Szczerpaniuk bringing three, according to the criminal complaint. Szczerpaniuk and Patterson struck Baumann several times in the face, head and side, while Baumann’s friends tried to break up the fight, the complaint said. Police said Pedro recorded the fight on a cellphone before also striking Baumann in the face. Szczerpaniuk was charged last week with simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct.
