CANONSBURG

Teen assaulted: A 14-year-old Canonsburg boy will be charged by Canonsburg police with harassment after he allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old Cecil boy Thursday night at the borough park at Perry Como Street and Franklin Avenue. Police said he punched the older boy in the head.

CANTON

Harassment alleged: Rebekah Brooks, 36, and Devin Reese, 18, both of Washington, will be charged by state police with harassment after they allegedly got into an altercation Wednesday on Marra Avenue in Canton.

CHARTIERS

House burglarized: Carrie Svecnik of the 700 block of Regent Drive told Chartiers police Monday jewelry, clothing and tennis shoes were among the items stolen from her home during a burglary.

Fraudulent charge: Bernard Mitchell of Chartiers told township police Monday a fraudulent charge was made on his credit card.

NEW EAGLE

Assault charges: Nickolaus Levi Owings, 32, of Pittsburgh, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of aggravated and simple assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct filed by Monongahela police and stemming from an Oct. 30 incident. Owings is accused of slamming a vehicle door on a man, punching him, throwing him to the ground and biting him in the 400 block of Main Street in New Eagle. The alleged victim went to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Owings was initially taken into custody on an Erie County warrant. He was placed in Washington County jail Thursday on $10,000 bond set by Thompson.

NORTH BELLE VERNON

Woman charged: Borough police charged Dimond S. Jackson, 24, of Fifth Street, Charleroi, with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident early in the morning of March 20 at Wide Glides Bar on Broad Avenue. Police said in court papers Jackson hid another woman’s purse in her own bag and then allegedly struck the other woman multiple times in the face and pulled out some of the victim’s hair during the scuffle that ensued. Charges were sent by summons from District Judge Charles Christner’s office Thursday.

Man charged: Borough police charged Brandon C. Gorski, 27, of Belle Vernon, Fayette County, with impersonating a public servant, resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of a government function, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and littering in connection with an incident March 18 in the 400 block of Broad Street. Gorski allegedly resisted when police tried to arrest him for public intoxication, falsely claimed to be a Secret Service agent and threatened to have the officers fired. Charges were sent by summons from District Judge Charles Christner’s office Thursday.

SMITHTON

Burglary charge: State police charged Brenna L. Ohare, 28, of Second Street, California, with burglary and criminal mischief in connection with a March 1 incident at her ex-boyfriend’s house on Fourth Street. Police said Ohare’s ex found her crawling through a front window. When he pushed her out, she allegedly attempted to break in through the side door, breaking the doorknob off with a brick. She also allegedly damaged his car by throwing a brick at it. Charges were sent by summons from District Judge Charles Christner’s office Thursday.

SOUTH STRABANE

Driver injured: Bethany Vanbibber, 18, of Finleyville was slightly injured Tuesday afternoon when her vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier on Interstate 70 westbound, just east of the south junction with Interstate 79, South Strabane, state police said.

WASHINGTON

Teen charged: A 16-year-old Washington boy was charged by Washington police with harassment and criminal mischief after a confrontation with his mother at their Lincoln Terrace home. His mother told police he was angry because he did not want to go to school. He reportedly broke the glass in the screen door, as well as the door handles. The boy also allegedly shoved his mother.
