ROSTRAVER – A Mon Valley auto dealership is facing thousands of charges it sold vehicles without proper titles, temporary registration permits and cards, among other regulatory violations, state police said.

Police filed a criminal complaint Thursday against C. Harper Inc. in Rostraver Township before District Judge Charles Christner, online court records indicate.

Police said the alleged violations were discovered March 8 during a regulatory audit at the dealership on Route 51 near Interstate 70.

One of the charges is grounds for disciplinary proceedings against the business, police said.

Dealership owner Casey Harper said Friday morning he was unaware of the charges against his business.

The criminal complaint and affidavit were not immediately available Friday due to a glitch in a software program that prevented it from being entirely entered into the record, a court official said.
