Three men were arrested Tuesday morning after reports of a large fight in California.

Arrested and charged were Marcel Harrison, 22, of McKeesport; Kerry Lynn Martin Jr., 25, of McKeesport; and Lester McGriff, 22, of Coal Center.

Borough police were called to Mechanic and Third streets at 11:38 a.m. for a report of about 10 people fighting with a gun present.

When police arrived, witnesses directed them to a vehicle parked at a playground near the intersection. Inside the vehicle were a Smith & Wesson 40-caliber, semi-automatic pistol and the men, who told police the people with whom they were fighting fled. Police said the gun was reported stolen in Georgia.

The three men face identical charges, including riot, firearms not to be carried without a license, receiving stolen property – gun-related, criminal conspiracy and disorderly conduct.

The three were taken to District Judge Joshua Kanalis for arraignment and placed in Washington County jail on various bails.
