A jury was selected Monday in Washington County Court to hear the case of a former Canon-McMillan High School gym teacher and wrestling coach who is charged in connection with a confrontation involving his brother-in-law and sister-in-law at a local country club.
South Strabane Township police in December 2016 charged Timothy P. Mousetis, 61, of East Washington, with two counts of simple assault after an incident in the dining room of The Golf Club of Washington, 599 Country Club Road. He also faces a disorderly conduct charge.
The alleged victims in the case are John and Debra Abajace of North Strabane Township. Police said John Abajace suffered a cut from a glass, and they allege he was punched as Debra Abajace intervened on her husband’s behalf.
