A Pittsburgh woman was charged by state police this week for her alleged role in the burglary of a Chartiers Township home earlier this year.

Jaimie F. Finseth, 31, is charged with burglary, conspiracy, criminal mischief, theft and receiving stolen property for a burglary in early March at a home on Whitetail Drive. Her alleged accomplice, Andrew John Dzura, 39, of Pittsburgh, was arrested March 7 on identical charges and is awaiting an April 30 formal arraignment.

Township police had received a report March 5 of the burglary. The burglars reportedly forced open a back door, stealing a variety of items including a Kitchen Aid mixer, two television sets, an Amazon Firestick, desktop computer, wall phone, answering machine, jewelry and $1,500.

The state police Organized Crime Task Force was contacted by township police two days after the burglary when family members of the victim found several of the stolen items listed for sale on two websites.

State police made contact with the seller, identified as Dzura, and began communicating with him about the mixer. Arrangements were made by an undercover officer to meet him at his Mt. Washington home. He reportedly wanted $78 for it. When asked if he had anything else for sale, Dzura reportedly indicated he had two televisions and jewelry. He was then taken into custody.

Dzura was reportedly a family friend. The charges against Finseth were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark. She is scheduled for a May 8 preliminary hearing before Mark.
