CALIFORNIA

Burglary arrest: Jason Nathaniel Perry, 33, of 194 Ellsworth Ave., California, was arrested Wednesday night by California police on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, possessing instruments of a crime, theft and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into Todd’s Beer Distributor warehouse, 100 Third St., and trying to steal a case of beer. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond.

CANONSBURG

Man injured: William Reynolds of 187 E. College St. was slightly injured Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a door of his pickup truck, Canonsburg police said. He was working on the truck when he reached in and attempted to start it. The truck started to roll, hitting him with the door and knocking him down. The truck then hit a metal pole and trees. Reynolds was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

NORTH STRABANE

Driver to be charged: Scott R. Popovich, 38, of 4052 Bentwood Drive, Canonsburg, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash early Wednesday on Walker Road, North Strabane police said. He was driving north when his vehicle went off the road, hitting an embankment and then a tree. Police said his blood-alcohol content was 2 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

ROSTRAVER

Three face charges: Eric Arrigo, 34, of Belle Vernon, Alexis Taylor Blanco, 29, of Belle Vernon, and Kristopher Cerniga, 31, who Rostraver police said is homeless, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an April 11 incident at 200 Municipal Drive, police said.

Assault, threats charges: Jeffrey Robert Briggs, 33, of 419 Kennedy Ave., Rostraver, was charged by Rostraver police with terroristic threats and simple assault stemming from a domestic dispute at his home Tuesday morning.

SMITH

Assault arrest: Jonathon Hootman, 38, of 27 Elm Leaf Drive, Burgettstown, was arrested Wednesday night by Smith police on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after a domestic dispute at his home. He is accused of punching his stepson in the face before running from the home. Police said he was later found running on a road in the area. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

WASHINGTON

Window broken: Brittany Anderson told Washington police a window was broken at her home by a man who also allegedly threatened her. Police said they have a suspect.
