Aleppo man killed in rollover crash
An Aleppo Township man was killed Friday night when his pickup truck went off Route 18 (Golden Oaks Road) in the Nettle Hill area of Jackson Township.
Terry Ralph Richmond, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene about 11:20 p.m. by Greene County Coroner Gene Rush. A passenger in his pickup truck, David A. Yoss, 55, also of Aleppo, was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., for treatment.
State police said Richmond was driving south in the 1500 block near Aleppo Road just after 10 p.m. when the truck went off the side of the road, onto the gravel shoulder. The truck re-entered the road, crossed the southbound lane and into the northbound lane. It crossed back over the road, hit a ditch and rolled over coming to rest in a yard.
Richmond had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters from Center and New Freeport.
He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
