Police Beat April 21
CANONSBURG
Drug charges: Carlos Malley Harris, 45, of Pittsburgh, was charged by Canonsburg police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension in connection with a traffic stop July 28, 2016. Police said when they pulled over Harris on Euclid Avenue, they discovered he had two arrest warrants out of Pittsburgh and one from state police relating to narcotics and firearms. Police said they found a stamp bag of heroin and needles in his car.
DUI, drug charges: Aaron Jaquay Smith, 32, of Pittsburgh, was charged by state police with DUI, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and public drunkenness following a traffic stop just after 1 a.m. Friday. Police said they discovered Smith parked at the BP gas station on McClelland Road, where he appeared to be intoxicated. Police said they discovered 47 grams of marijuana in his vehicle.
Drug charges: Shanna Nikole Brallier, 25, of 77 Muse Bishop Road, Canonsburg, was charged by Canonsburg police with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop March 24 on Strabane Avenue. Police said they found Brallier in possession of two stamp bags of suspected heroin, needles and other paraphernalia.
NORTH STRABANE
Drug charges: Dabar Jamel Yarbrough, 21, of Pittsburgh, was charged by North Strabane Township police with possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a one-vehicle crash at Cambria Suites on Racetrack Road Oct. 20, 2016. Police said the driver of the car was taken to the hospital, where he reportedly told police he’d purchased heroin from Yarbrough, who had been staying at the hotel. Police searched Yarbrough’s car and hotel room and said they found 261 stamp bags of heroin, most of which were in a potato chip container in his car.

Robbery charges: Desmond Manross Goins, 21, of 521 Meadowlake Court, Washington, was charged by Peters Township police with conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with a holdup April 8 at the BP gas station at 3894 Washington Road. Police said Goins drove Eduardo Rippe, 20, of Canonsburg, to and from the gas station just before 11 p.m. Police said Rippe entered the store, covering his face with a hooded sweatshirt and keeping his hand in his front pocket as though he were holding a firearm. Rippe allegedly told the clerk to “get down on the ground” before he stole about $250 from the register. Police said Goins drove Rippe from the scene and aided him in disposing of the sweatshirt. Rippe was arrested April 10 and charged with robbery. He’s in jail on $15,000 bond.
