CALIFORNIA
Burglary charges: Jason Nathanial Perry, 33, of California, was charged by California police with burglary, criminal trespass, possession of an instrument of crime, theft and criminal mischief after he allegedly injured himself while breaking into a beer store at 100 Third St. April 18. Police responded to Todd’s Beer Distributor just before 10 p.m. and said they found Perry inside with a bloody hand. Police said they found a hammer Perry used to break a window, through which he entered the building. Perry’s blood was on beer cases he appeared to have attempted to steal, police said. Perry was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment of the cuts on his hand, before he was taken to jail. Perry was arraigned the next morning by District Judge Ethan Ward. He is free on $20,000 unsecured bond.
Drug charge: California police said they are charging Rebecca Garrow, 37, of Roscoe, with furnishing drug-free urine after she allegedly submitted a fraudulent urine sample to her Washington County probation officer April 20.
Drug charges: Troy Chiera, 31, of Brownsville, and Reginald Rasheem Davis, 30, of Washington, were charged by California police with multiple drug violations after police stopped them at a gas station April 14. Police said the two were filling up a car at Kwik Fill at the corner of Third and Wood streets. Police said the two men were in possession of marijuana, illegal pills and heroin. Chiera was charged with eight counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy and a summary traffic violation. Davis was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy and a traffic violation.
Drug charges: Three men were charged by California police with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop March 23 on Dally Road. Demetri Marcus Clements, 22, of Coal Center, Ronelle Lamarr Grant, 23, of Chester, and Malik Wade Acie Jackson, 20, of Daisytown, were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Grant also was charged with two summary traffic offenses.
Disorderly houses: Six people were recently charged by California police with violating the disorderly house ordinance by having loud parties. Vianey Almaraz, 21, of York, allegedly held a party April 13 at her apartment in the 600 block of Second Street. On April 15, Austin Dale Logan, 23, of Beaver, allegedly hosted a loud party at his Cherry Avenue apartment. Police said Zachary Dugan, 21, of Ambridge, Chase Hannan, 21, and Benjamin Morton, 21, both of Pittsburgh, were charged in connection with a party at their Third Street apartment April 15. Jordan Horshaw, 22, of Harrisburg, was accused of hosting a loud party with more than 60 people at his Green Street apartment April 21.
CANONSBURG
Warrant arrest: Canonsburg police arrested Dillon Britt, 25, of Canonsburg, Thursday evening on a warrant from Washington. Britt had been charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child and simple assault in connection with an incident April 19. He was arraigned by District Judge Larry Hopkins Thursday night and jailed on $25,000 bond.
CANTON
Retail theft: Melissa Amelia Zelenka, 35, of 303 Second St., Marianna, was charged by state police with felony retail theft after she allegedly stole a saw from Busy Beaver on West Chestnut Street March 7. Police said the store was able to get the saw back. Zelenka has at least three previous convictions for retail theft, according to the criminal complaint.
DEEMSTON
Boy charged: An 11-year-old Fredericktown boy has been charged in a juvenile petition with making terroristic threats over allegations he threatened to go on a shooting spree about 1:35 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 100 block of Crawford Road, state police said.
MONESSEN
Assault alleged: David William Speicher, 33, of 166 Gaudio Drive, Rostraver Township, is charged by city police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse him of putting his ex-girlfriend, Katelyn Scherer, in a headlock about 11 a.m. Monday in a residence in the 500 block of Ontario Street. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Thursday for Speicher’s arrest.
Drug arrest: Uriah Ruben-Lee Jones, 42, of 1246 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with illegal possession of firearms as a felon, drug possession with intent to deliver, receiving stolen property and drug possession, court records show. Police claim a search of a house Jones owns at 1215 Walnut Ave. produced three firearms and 22 grams of crack. The search followed an investigation into a report of gunshots at the Walnut Street address about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. Jones is free on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
