Construction postponed on Route 88 bridge

Construction on the Route 88 (McKean Avenue) bridge, spanning Maple Creek in Speers and Charleroi boroughs has been postponed. It was previously scheduled to begin this week.

Construction is now expected to begin during the week of Aug. 13 and be complete in early October. During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a car detour along First Street, Twilight Hollow Road and Interstate 70.
