CANONSBURG
Money stolen: Lori Kendzlic of Bower Avenue, Canton Township, told Canonsburg police $40 she mistakenly left behind at a self-checkout register at Shop ‘n Save, 617 W. Pike St., was stolen Thursday. Surveillance shows the customer who used the register after her took the money. Personnel at the store are trying to determine the identity of that customer.
CANTON
Drug arrest: Crystal Lyn Hinton, 41, of 240½ Caldwell Ave., Canton, was charged Wednesday by state police with two counts of possession of marijuana after troopers were called to her home June 29 for a domestic dispute. Police said they found the marijuana in her purse after spotting a handgun. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Driver charged: Alyssa Aline Furlong, 21, of Sarver, Butler County, was charged Wednesday by state police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after a July 22 incident on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Jessop Place exit in Canton. A trooper reportedly found the marijuana and paraphernalia in her disabled vehicle. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
NORTH FRANKLIN
Theft charge: Jamie L. Green, 41, of 283 Cortez Drive, Canton Township, was charged Friday by North Franklin police with theft, theft of property lost and unauthorized use of an access device issued to another. Police said a man mistakenly left his debit card in an automated teller machine at Wabelco Federal Credit Union, 1277 Park Ave., July 10. He checked his account and determined the card had been used to make a $137.76 purchase. Police said they identified Green as the person who used the card. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
SOUTH STRABANE
Card used: An employee of Kay Jewelers, Tanger Outlets, told South Strabane police Thursday a stolen credit card was used to purchase a pair of earrings valued at more than $4,000.
WASHINGTON
Guard threat alleged: Keith Anthony Rosario, 27, of Canonsburg, was charged Friday by Washington police with terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened April 26 to kill a corrections officer at Washington County jail and the officer’s family. Rosario has been in the jail on $2 million bond since September after his arrest on charges including attempted homicide for allegedly shooting a man in South Franklin Township. He is awaiting trial on those charges. Rosario will be arraigned later on the threat charge before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Inmate charged: Julius Lancelot Smith, 27, of Canonsburg, was charged Friday by Washington police with three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening two staff members at Washington County jail May 18. He allegedly told them he would be getting out of jail in a few days and would find them. Police said Smith had to be restrained. Smith is currently an inmate at Westmoreland County jail, where he is being held on drug charges. He will be arraigned later before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Wallet stolen: Kiera Cox of Pittsburgh told Washington police Thursday her wallet containing identification and $275 was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of Maple Avenue.
