AMWELL
Arraigned on drug charges: Leann Sachek, 50, of 1010 Brush Run Road, Amwell, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin filed earlier this week by state police. She is accused of selling the drug to a confidential informant at her Amwell home in August 2015. Ward set a $25,000 bond for Sachek, who has been in Washington County jail since Aug. 1 on a parole detainer.
BUFFALO
Marijuana delivery charge: Clarence Hough Anderson, 38, of 194 Hathaway Road, Claysville, was charged Tuesday by state police with possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana. He is accused of selling marijuana to a confidential informant at Anderson’s Buffalo home in August 2015. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
CANONSBURG
Theft charge: Frank Bruno, 32, of 418 Falcon Drive, Canonsburg, was charged this week by Canonsburg police with retail theft after he allegedly stole items from Dollar General, 145 Adams Ave., July 1. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Harassment alleged: Anthony Johnson, 28, of 136 E. Pike St., Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with harassment after he allegedly struck Shannon Thurman, 36, of Canonsburg, early Friday during a confrontation at his home.
CANTON
DUI, child endangerment charges: Derek Ryan Hartzog, 27, of 3650 Route 40, Washington, was charged this week by state police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of children, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and traffic violations stemming from a July 7 crash on Weirich Avenue, Canton. Police said he had cocaine, marijuana, methadone and fentanyl in his system when he crashed his vehicle over a hillside. A 12-year-old child who was a passenger was injured, police said. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Loitering, mischief charges: Dallas D. Coburn, 19, of 2 Waterfront Circle, Washington, was charged with loitering and prowling at night and criminal mischief after he reportedly was outside a house on Euclid Avenue, Canton, July 19. He also allegedly damaged two tires on a vehicle parked outside the house. The charges were sent by summons.
CHARTIERS
Drug, endangerment arrest: Christopher Dolan, 32, of 843 Western Ave., Chartiers, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of endangering the welfare of children and possession of heroin and paraphernalia after state police said they found his 2-year-old daughter in a tub with water running, with heroin and paraphernalia near her. Police responded to Dolan’s home Aug. 9 to take him into custody on a probation warrant. He was placed in Washington County jail that day on the warrant. District Judge David Mark set bond at $25,000 during the arraignment.
Drug-free urine violation: Shane Trylko, 30, of 3230 Millers Run Road, Cecil, was charged this week by Chartiers police with failure to furnish drug-free urine during an appointment Wednesday with his probation officer. Police said he tried to use urine that was in a skin conditioner bottle he had hidden in his underpants. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
EAST FINLEY
Arraigned on warrant: Robert Daniel Taggart Jr., 43, of Wheeling, W.Va., was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Ethan Ward on a warrant obtained in June by state police charging him with aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, disorderly conduct and traffic violations in connection with a June 15 incident on an East Finley road. Taggart is accused of punching a woman who was a passenger in a vehicle he was driving. She reportedly suffered a broken arm. Taggart also allegedly struck the woman with his vehicle as she sat on the road. When she tried to get away from Taggart, he allegedly chased after her, stealing her cellphone before fleeing the area. Taggart was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
NORTH BETHLEHEM
Two injured: Shanyce Hewitt, 19, of Clarksville, and Bradley Horne, 52, of Marianna, were slightly injured Thursday when their vehicles collided on Little Daniels Run Road, North Bethlehem, state police said.
NORTH STRABANE
DUI, drug arrest: Jovan Michael Miranda, 30, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Thursday night by North Strabane police on charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop early Friday at Racetrack and Johnson roads. Police said Miranda’s blood-alcohol content exceed the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. He also was wanted on a Westmoreland County bench warrant. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Warrant arrest: Barbara Cline, 42, of 114 Latimer Ave., Strabane, was taken into custody Thursday at her home by North Strabane police on a Washington County bench warrant. She was placed in Washington County jail on the warrant.
SOUTH STRABANE
Assaults alleged: Nathaniel McIlvaine, 22, of 100 Wilmont Ave., Washington, was arrested early Friday after he allegedly assaulted his parents at their home. When South Strabane police arrived, they were let into the home by McIlvaine. When they asked about his parents, he allegedly said they were upstairs and might be dead. Officers said they found his parents barricaded in their bedroom, afraid to open the door. The parents told police they were sleeping when their son entered their room and attacked them. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on two counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. McIlvaine was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Driver charged: Katelyn Katz, 25, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged by state police last week with DUI, driving the wrong way and careless driving after she allegedly was spotted July 29 going north in the southbound lanes of Murtland Avenue near Oak Spring Road, South Strabane. Police said her blood-alcohol content was more than 2 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
WASHINGTON
Charged in assault: Brandon E. Leek, 34, of 155 Springfield Ave., Washington, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment for allegedly assaulting a woman at his apartment during an Aug. 1 confrontation. He also allegedly struggled with city police officers when they tried to take him into custody. Redlinger set bond at $10,000 on Leek, who has been in Washington County jail on bench warrants since Aug. 1.
Woman assaulted: Melissa Bebout, 44, of Jollick Manor, was injured Thursday when she reportedly was assaulted by three girls in the 170 block of Jollick Manor. Washington police said she refused to cooperate with them. She also refused treatment for lumps under her eye and on her arm, police said.
