The Central Greene School District will be accepting applications for an open board position until Aug. 29.

Superintendent Helen McCracken said that former board member Sarah Hughes resigned at Tuesday’s meeting because she is moving and will no longer live in the area she represented.

The seat includes Perry, Whitley and Wayne townships. The opening has been posted on the district’s website at www.cgsd.org.

The board will select a successor to finish the term, which runs through December 2019.

Those interested in the role must be a resident of Perry, Whiteley or Wayne and should contact the board President Beth Hellems at bhellems@cgsd.org or McCracken at hmccracken@cgsd.org.
