Man killed in California motorcycle crash identified
A Coal Center man killed Saturday evening in a motorcycle crash in California Borough was identified Sunday by Washington County Coroner Tim Warco.
John Robison, 61, was traveling westbound near 494 West Malden Drive, Coal Center, when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed at 6:11 p.m., according to a news release from the coroner’s office.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, the release said.
Robinson was transported to Mon Valley Hospital in Monongahela by Brownsville EMS and pronounced dead in the emergency room at 6:59 p.m.
Also assisting at the scene were California Borough Volunteer Fire Department and California University Police Department.
The accident is under investigation by California Borough Police Department.
