FRANKLIN
Burglary: An Xbox One and an e-cigarette vape mod were stolen in a burglary between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 24 at 312 Tollgate Run Road, state police said. The victim was not identified. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.
WAYNESBURG
Theft charges: Two Waynesburg men, Travis A. Barlow, 40, of 52 W. Greene St., and Jackie E. Rutan, 33, of 100 W. High Street, were charged by Waynesburg police for allegedly stealing 200 feet of electric cable they cut from a tractor-trailer parked Aug. 1 at Jay D. Enterprises on First Street in Waynesburg. Police said Barlow was identified by surveillance camera video. The two also were charged for allegedly removing Barlow’s impounded vehicle from Wade’s Towing without paying the $3,825 impoundment/storage fee, police said. The two had used the vehicle to drive to Jay D. Enterprises, police said. They face charges of theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and criminal mischief. Both men were arraigned before District Judge Dave Balint and placed in Greene County jail on $15,000 bond each. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 10.
