A fire that destroyed a Cecil Township home Saturday afternoon is being investigated.

Multiple fire companies were called to the home at 410 Cardinal Dr., Hendersonville, off Morganza Road. Two adult males lived in the home, according to Bill Cass, chief of No. 1 fire department in Lawrence, and neither was injured. Several space heaters had been on at the home, Cass added.

Cecil’s No. 1 and No. 2 fire companies were at the scene, along with fire companies from McDonald, North Strabane and Fairview.

The house is located near a dwelling that was destroyed in a fire in December. Two families with young children were displaced in that fire.

Firefighters also were called to a dryer fire at Bentleyville Laundromat, 721 Main St., early Sunday. There was heavy smoke, but no one was injured and no one in apartments above were displaced, according to a supervisor with Washington County 911.
