CANTON

Assault arrest: Brittany Danielle Holmes, 21, of 500 W. Wylie Ave., Canton, was arraigned Monday by District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. She is accused of hitting Alexander McCarthy in the face, biting him on the arm and breaking his cellphone during a confrontation at their home Saturday. She was released on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Drug charges: Nichole Lynne Templeton, 25, of 217 Prigg Road, Washington, was charged last week by a Washington County sheriff’s deputy with possession of heroin and paraphernalia. She allegedly was found with the items during a compliance check last March at a home on Rose Avenue in Canton.

CHARTIERS

Warrant arrest: James Spaley, 37, of Meadow Lands, was taken into custody Monday by Chartiers police at a home on Western Avenue on a domestic relations bench warrant and a Butler County bench warrant. His mother had reported him missing to police on Sunday. Spaley was placed in Washington County Jail on the warrants.

Dryer fire: Chartiers police and firefighters were called Monday to the home of May Philips, 856 Governors Circle, for a reported dryer fire. Police said there was no fire, but smoke had filled the residence.

Wires cut: Frank Mounts of 314 Front St. told Chartiers police Thursday that a vandal cut the wires to the alternator on his vehicle.

FINLEYVILLE

DUI, drug charges: Ronald Anthony Mavilla, 24, of 115 Third Ave., Monongahela, was charged Monday by Monongahela police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, careless driving and racing on highways stemming from a Jan. 28 traffic stop on Route 88, Finleyville. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jesse Pettit.

UNION

False identification charges: Sateva Marie Mahan, 32, of Clairton, was charged last week by Monongahela police with possession of paraphernalia, false identification to police, obstruction of administration of law and traffic violations after she allegedly gave police a false name during a Jan. 27 traffic stop on Route 837, Union. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jesse Pettit.

WASHINGTON

Assault arrest: Stephan V. Wasler, 42, of 945 Idaho St., Washington, was arrested Monday by Washington police on a charge of aggravated assault stemming from a Jan. 19 incident at 916 Bruce St. Police obtained a warrant for his arrest after he allegedly assaulted a 43-year-old woman. She was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Apartment burglarized: Pablo Nevel of 261 Locust Ave. told Washington police Monday that kitchen and bathroom items were stolen in a burglary of his apartment.

Meter damaged: Washington police said a parking meter near the entrance to Washington Hospital on Wilson Avenue was damaged by a vandal.
